It's nice to meet you. My name is Pamelia and I am a Singaporean living in Melbourne, Australia. This journal is my way of keeping track of things as I build a life with my new husband, Wex, in a foreign country. I work as a professional cook and am penning my first cookbook on Singapore's wet markets, launching in 2019.

Food and cooking is an integral part of my life. To me, the pleasures of a home-cooked meal and the table are simple but crucial for a meaningful life.
I am a huge believer in shopping at local markets and cooking with regional produce as much as possible. My cooking is often guided by the beauty of market produce. I will be sharing recipes and stories here, in hopes that you, too, will be inspired by the beauty and versatility of produce you can find in your markets, wherever in the world you may be.
